Join CTO: Fees, Categories, Benefits

CTO NON GOVERNMENT MEMBERSHIP BENEFITS

CTO will provide its non-government members with the following opportunities:

* Meet and network with public sector decision makers of Caribbean tourism, e.g. Ministers and Directors of Tourism and National Tourist Office representatives;

* Meet with tourism executives in the private sector, e.g. hoteliers, media, airlines and cruise lines, tour operators and travel agents;

* Be recognized as preferred partners and have their services utilized by CTO and its members;

* Be represented on the CTO Board of Directors and to elect their representatives (some categories of member only);

* Participate in the Annual Caribbean Tourism Conference and select other CTO events, at special rates;

* Gain access to select publications, at special rates;

* Draw on CTO's technical and advisory services;

* Access any travel-related special offers which CTO might negotiate from time to time.

CTO NON GOVERNMENT MEMBERSHIP CATEGORIES

Carrier Members are international and regional air carriers, and international and regional passenger sea carriers serving the Caribbean area, admitted to membership of CTO by the Board of Directors.

Allied Members are companies, corporations, firms, organizations, agencies or individuals providing goods and services to, or otherwise engaged in, the tourism industry of the Caribbean, admitted to membership of CTO by the Board of Directors.

Affiliate Members are such organizations, the objectives and activities of which, in the opinion of the Board of Directors, complement those of CTO and are admitted as such to the membership of CTO by the Board of Directors on such terms and conditions as the Board may determine.

Affiliate members also include Exchange members and Collaborators to whom membership is extended by formal agreement with the Caribbean Tourism Organization.

Anguilla, Antigua & Barbuda Aruba, The Bahamas, Barbados, Belize, Bermuda, Bonaire, British Virgin Islands, Cayman Islands, Cuba, Curacao, Dominica, Dominican Republic, Grenada, Guadeloupe, Guyana, Haiti, Jamaica, Martinique, Montserrat, Puerto Rico, St. Barts, St. Eustatius, St. Kitts, Nevis, St. Lucia St. Maarten, St. Martin, St. Vincent & the Grenadines, Suriname, Trinidad & Tobago, Turks & Caicos, The U.S.V.I., Venezuela

CTO MISSION STATEMENT

The Caribbean Tourism Organization's main objective is the development of sustainable tourism for the economic and social benefit of Caribbean people. The CTO provides to and through its public and private sector members, the services and information to accomplish this goal.

CTO OPERATIONS

The CTO, with headquarters in Barbados, comprises 32 member countries, including English, French, Spanish and Dutch countries and territories, as well as private sector allied members. These include the Caribbean Hotel Association, companies, organizations and persons providing products and services to the Caribbean tourism industry.

CTO's offices are located in the USA, UK, Canada and Barbados. CTO Chapters are located in France, Germany, Holland, across the US and in the Caribbean.

CTO HISTORY

CTO was established in 1989 with the merger of the Caribbean Tourism Association (founded in 1951) and the Caribbean Tourism Research and Development Center (founded in 1974).
